Asthma Diet
Believe it or not, the food that you eat may have a lot to do with the asthma attacks that you have been having. Many people are under the impression that asthma can only come about during heavy exercise, but the fact of the matter is that nothing could be further from the truth. If you continually eat foods that are going to trigger asthma, you can be rest assured that you are not going to have an easy time getting this problem under control.
Although food trigger asthma is not common, there are some people who suffer from this. If you think that you are one of these people, you will probably be able to get a good idea after you eat certain foods. And of course, you can always head to your doctor in order to get a confirmation on this. Once you tell your doctor what foods you think are causing your asthma, they should be able to give you a better idea as to whether or not this is really happening.
There are many foods that may trigger asthma attacks. The more that you know about these foods, the better chance you will have of avoiding them. But remember, just because one type of food triggers an asthma attack does not mean that all like foods will do the same. Unfortunately, this can be more or less a trial and error process that you have to get used to dealing with. Luckily, sooner rather than later you will know what foods are causing you problems, and you can in turn avoid them at all costs.
Here are some of the more common foods that you should be aware of. If you keep these out of your asthma diet you should be in good shape most of the time. They include: wine, beer, cider, wheat cereals, eggs, peanuts, soy, fish, blue cheeses, food that contains yeast, foods with colorings E110, E104, and E102. While there may be a few other foods that you should avoid while following your asthma diet, these are the ones that are known to cause the most problems in the largest number of people. Simply avoiding these should go a long way in helping you to avoid asthma triggered by food.
All in all, following an asthma diet is not as hard as you may think. Even though you will not be able to eat some foods, there are not so many exclusions that you will have a hard time keeping yourself fed.
